Tooth Whitening

Your teeth can be permanently whitened without expensive porcelain facings (veneers). You will need to have a consultation prior to whitening. Your teeth will undergo some colour change and results will vary. You can choose from three techniques:

  • Home whitening (Colgate)
  • Light activated whitening (Beyond)
  • Laser whitening (Smartbleach)

We were the first practice in Perth to offer laser whitening.

Please note that whitening will not work if colour of your teeth is due to amalgam staining, discoloured and decayed fillings, greyish due to translucent teeth, or exposed yellow roots due to toothbrush abrasion. Tooth whitening works best on young people with light teeth.

Laser whitening is effective and patient friendly. Laser light is very high in energy, does not overheat the tooth and uses the highest concentrate of hydrogen peroxide.
